Bedtime Stories was a 48 page comic book, the result of a project devised with Sandwell Homeless and Resettlement Project and part of a Peer Education programme in schools.
Bedtime Stories was primarily written from the perspective of young people who have experienced homelessness. Materials for the stories were drawn from a series of activities: residencies, interviews and workshops with those young people affected, as well as with individuals working with these issues. These scripts and storyboards were then interpreted by comics artists John McCrea (Batman, Spiderman, The Hulk), and Hunt Emerson (Firkin the Cat, The Beano and City Mouth). The comic also had an accompanying education pack suitable for use with 11+. The comic was distributed nationally by Youth Clubs UK.
